The 6th Ing Cup starts to play on 4/30 in Shanghai, China. Ing Cup was originated in Aug. 1988 and held very four years, it is the world biggest Go tournament with the highest prize and highest level, the champion prize is 400,000 US$. Go legend Go Seigen was invited as the principle referee of this term. After eight intense games in round 1, eight players (Gu Li, Lee Sedol, Xie He, Liu Xing, Piao Wenyao, Park YuongHoon, Wang Lei and Cho Chikun) advanced to the next round.
