The Myungin, also known as Myeongin and Korean Meijin, is sponsored by Han-kuk Il-po (Korea Daily News). Komi is 6.5, time limits are 5 hours each in the title final, 4 hours in the knockout and 3 hours elsewhere. The champion prize is 30 million South Korean Won (about US$ 25.7 thousands).
